Part: ISO 639-3
Initial Comment:
Hi,
I see following is written in iso_639_3.xml
<iso_639_3_entry
id="pan"
part1_code="pa"
part2_code="pan"
scope="I"
type="L"
name="Panjabi" />
whereas for same language code in iso_639.xml its written as
<iso_639_entry
iso_639_2B_code="pan"
iso_639_2T_code="pan"
iso_639_1_code="pa"
name="Panjabi; Punjabi" />
Please update iso_639_3.xml entry to have both names as
<iso_639_3_entry
id="pan"
part1_code="pa"
part2_code="pan"
scope="I"
type="L"
name="Panjabi; Punjabi" />
In India, language name used as "Punjabi"

We cannot changes standards ourselves...
ISO 639-3 lists "Panjabi" for pan (http://www.sil.org/iso639-3/codes.asp?order=639_3&letter=p). I agree this is inconsistent with ISO 639-2 that lists "Punjabi".
However, changing this belongs to one of the standard organizations: SIL for ISO 639-3, the US Library of Congress for ISO 639-1 and -2
