Probably not.  I just installed all the other voices, and the Finnish
don't like nothingness either.  However, after installing the various
Sid .debs with the other voices in Dapper, I was able to reproduce the
hangup only with the Italian voices.  With all the others (Castillano,
British English, Finnish, America) everything was allright.

So, there's this problem of the empty strings, and there's also another
one, much more difficult to track down :(
