I would not want to discard the distinciton between obsolete modes (that
will never become part of jed-extra because they are now in the standard
lib or because they are superseded by another mode) and modes currently
not part of jed-extra (e.g. because they depend on external modes or
because they are not tested) but might be of interest later.

So, my suggestion would be the introduction of a new tag instead of
renaming an existing one.
