Anyone can manipulate any bug in the BTS. Think of it as a email-controlled
Wiki. Read the instructions at:
http://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
For instance, what I requested above would be accomplished by sending a
message to control@bugs.debian.org with the following text in the body:
package jed
forwarded 306223 davis@space.mit.edu
tags 306223 upstream
(I am assuming that the bug report was forwarded to John E. Davis at the
address davis@space.mit.edu.)
Jörg: would you like to try the above BTS manipulation? Of course, I can do
it myself, but this is a good opportunity for you to learn it. There may be
some extra tags that would apply to this bug. Also, if you discover any bug
that needs manipulation (like adding tags) in the following page:
http://bugs.debian.org/pkg-jed-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org
please, go ahead.
