home-lib.sl registers user home, site-local and site libraries. But I have
no problem with keeping the name.

However, I am unfamiliar with the Debian package initialisation and setup.
Maybe I can modify jed-extra-preparse.sl to use make_ini?

make_ini can also create autoloads, thus much of jed-extra-init.sl could
be replaced by an autogenerated ini.sl in site-lib. Should I try this as
well?

At jedmodes, CVS is not used for latest development work but as
versioning tool for the individual modes. The jedmodes.tgz "release" is
nothing more than an outdated cvs snapshoot (as its comment says). Maybe
I should call it jedmodes-cvs.tgz.

There where issues with sourceforges CVS server in the past. It seems to
work quite stable nowadays.

I never did this. Paul forked some of his modes out of CVS and into
separate packages.

Jedmodes administrators are

 Paul Boekholt boekholt users.sf.net
 Guenter Milde milde users.sf.net
Francesc Rocher rocher users.sf.net % no longer active

This is indended to be the main channel to contact Jedmodes people. The
Jedmodes home page says:

  Mail

For issues regarding the Jed Modes Repository, mail to jedmodes-users.

Quite silent, though.

I see you did this already. Thank you very much.
