True. Guido Gonzatos abcmode comes to my mind as well as the extended
latex.sl by Jörg.

* Does it make sense to include a "complete" set of modes but not
  activate/install them? (So people do not need to go to Jedmodes.sf.net

I see, so keep them both.

This is true, apsmode and print create a name conflict as both provide
the function print_buffer(). So they serve as an example why we should not
activate all modes in jedmodes.tgz.
