Difficult. I didn't expect this, because the call in compile is saved
with a "|| true".

Right, but that should not make dpkg fails. Could you send me the
output or better add "set -x" to the compile file and run apt again.
Where points your /bin/sh? What's the output of
  /bin/sh -c 'false || true'; echo $?
