As you certainly now, the release of etch is scheduled for December 4.
Whether this release will happen or not in the foreseen date is still
unknown, although the general freeze is scheduled for October 18, about two
weeks from now.

I have hectic in fornt of times before me but I will try to promptly upload
new versions of jed and jed-extra to unstable if necessary. Keep in mind
that the sooner we do, the better. In any event, this is our last chance
before the etch release to address any of the 11 open bugs against the jed
package and the 2 bugs against jed-extra.
