Although it is not yet in Policy, there are strict guidelines on how to
write debian/copyright files [1], which we have been neglecting for years.
In particular:

    "In many packages there is more than one author, more than one
     copyright-holder and more than one license. Do not miss to list them
     all, even if that other license is just for one file. Yes, any single
     file is important."

I did the changes in my local files but, since ssh access to svn.alioth.org
is currently blocked due to Bug#464953, I cannot commit them.  Attached
below is the diff file.  Please, check it.  My svn commit message would be:

* copyright: Added Copyright owners and release years for each
  upstream file, as required by the Debian community
  (http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/03/msg00023.html)
* changelog:
  + Set distribution to UNRELEASED until this version is not actually released
  + Added [GM] tags
