What do you mean by "mistake by design"? In README.Debian there is
"X-Windows", which is wrong and should be replaced by "X Window" (without
hyphen and without "s") [1].

Sorry, I am lost here. Once the package will be uploaded, users will be
able to do "dpkg-source -x ... ; dpkg-buildpackage ..." and it will work.
Am I missing something?
