Thanks for the offer.

We have a somewhat unusal situation, because

new team == old team - DD

What I did, is a post to debian.devel.mentors asking for advise what
to do:

since 08.03.2005, the Debian packages related to the JED editor are
collaborative maintained in a project at Alioth
  (http://pkg-jed.alioth.debian.org/,
  http://alioth.debian.org/projects/pkg-jed).

However, after the retirement of the group leader, there is no DD left in
  the group.

Is this the right place to look for a new co-maintainer or sponsor?
What would be the correct description of an alioth project in need of
  someone with upload rights?

Yes, there is a new upstream release and a new package.

Jörg, could you add yourself in the Uploaders field and add the field
DM-Upload-Allowed in the jed-extra package sources first, please? This
way I all jed* packages would be "uploadable" without an external
sponsor.

Thanks to both of you.

Günter
