I've just committed revision 572899 to 3.5 branch which deals better with various situations related to the slave dying or disconnecting during flags upload. These changes might impact other scenarios where slave errors lead to sync state resets, such as power management resume or wlan connection flakyness. I would appreciate any and all testing especially from those who can reproduce the problem somewhat reliably. I'm also uploading a new ultra-verbose-debugging patch which applies cleanly against 3.5 branch and contains yet more debugging info, in case this does not fix it yet.
