Arne, thanks for reporting it.  I'm also using 3.5.2 on Debian.  But could you please provide a more detailed account of how it happened and how you noticed it?

On another note, what would be the best way to recover from this bug when/if it bites?  I'm thinking of a very frequent rdiff-backup of one's local Maildir; maybe every 5 minutes or so, nice'd down to avoid too much system slowdown.  Backupninja makes it quite easy to use rdiff-backup, and recovery is very easy too (I once had to recover my Firefox profile from a few days earlier; one command restored the directory as it was to a temp directory, and then I just moved it into place).
