I would like to add that this bug is still present in KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.1".  I have it happenning on two separate systems (one 64bit, one 32) - both SuSE 10.1 with updated KDE RPMs.

I can also verify that the value of "Hidden" under "[KonqMainWindow Toolbar bookmarkToolBar]" in ~/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc has absolutely no effect.

Explicitly re-saving the "Web Browsing" profile doesn't help either.

I've found similar reports as far back as 2002 (#46922) and 2000 (#13698) which may or may not be related.  I know that I've had this bug for a long time, and have hoped it might have been fixed every time I do an update.
