Hi Tom, nothing happend. But something else. I think I know how at least part of the mail los happens. I am using filters. Kmail fetches mail from INBOX, moves a mail to a folder. The problem could be that I have really a lot of folders with a lot of mails so it takes a long time for kmail to finish a mail check. I do not know in what way kmail notifies a server that it has moved a mail into another folder, but I think could have something todo with a kind of wrong timing of that. Now with the patch and kmail asking "mail has been deleted on the server, do you want to delete it locally" means that at this point where Kmail wants to syncronize the move has not happened on the server yet. So has to be something with bad timing, something like, I have to shut down my computer because I have to leave or I loose internet connection so that synchronising is not finished. I guess that kmail still has a mechanisms to prevent this, but may it does not work allways. for example with large mailboxes with a lot of folders.
