I experienced more than once the following effect which may be caused the same bug:
When I right-click on a newly arrived mail containing a message disposition notification, at first appears the context menu and after a few seconds the prompt window (accept, ignore, deny) making the desktop permanently freezed - i.e. unless killed kmail does not accept any keystrokes (even Ctrl-Tab does not work any more) nor mouse clicks (the mouse still moves but e.g. does not make the system panel appear).

My system: kmail 1.9.1 with KDE 3.5.1 (SuSE RPMs on Suse 10.1)
