[pkg-kolab] My Situation

Hi Benjamin

Well you can take the packages from sid (kolabd from experimental) and rebuild
them for sarge (most of them are arch-independent, so not sure if rebuild is
necessary, but you want to have a lower version number for upgrades, so build
backports ;) ).
Then you can use them the same way. Just one remark you should use a newer
postfix as well. If you checkout our repository you'll find a postfix package
there, just build it and use it for sarge!
(It is not necessary for sid!).
Then follow the README.Debian and use it :)
(I am not completely sure about the state of sarge, but i think you have to
work around the "mail-transport-agent" stuff (means delete exim4 so that
postifx will be installed fine :) ).
And in sid there are currently problems with horde (mail sent to maintainers)
but i don't know about sarge.
Anyway I can confirm that the debian packages are working under sarge, but we
need to do some further work, before we can build/support stable backports.
Maybe you can help us to get all the packages in a good shape by reporting
errors or writing test results :)

Greetings
Steffen

P.S. I personally accept bug reports against backports if they are not
directly connected to sarge, means if you find errors which also appear in
the sid packages just write a bug report to improve the packages ;)
(While a bug report with the patch tag is always warmly welcome ;)).
