apt-pinning is easy. Here is my /etc/apt/preferences

Package: *
Pin: release a=testing
Pin-Priority: 500

Package: *
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 200

Package: libnet-ldap-perl
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 550
