Having looked at the patch, would not a more correct solution be to use an 
entity, rather than escaping the apostrophe?  The string in question is 
converted to HTML, and raw apostrophe characters break validation under some 
circumstances. IMV, the bug is here.

Note that the "'" entity probably should not be used for this purpose, as 
it does not render correctly on some browsers.
