Actually, there are 2 recent kolab packages in Debian testing: libkolabxml, and libkolab. The full set of packages to install a Kolab server are available from Kolab Systems.

Me too, but lacking time at the moment. Besides, Kolab released version 3.1, and the Debian packages are not very stable currently. Trying to get them into Debian would be quite a challenge right now.

The Kolab Systems git repositories are not actively maintained anymore, since the switched to open build service (http://obs.kolabsys.com). I don't know how this would tie in with the Debian way of doing things.
