I just committed a fix for your issue to our SVN (r540). If Alioth would
work again, I would show you a ViewVC link, but you may feel comfortable
without, being a developer yourself.

I presume this fixes the problem for you, however I'd invite you to
test, whether the current trunk works indeed for you. We might aggregate
the fix for your problem presumably in 1.4.28-6, once there are some
more changes.
