the main problem, i think, is that neither petter or myself have been
able to keep up with the fast pace of bzr development, and
incomaptibilities between released and development versions are causing
all kinds of headaches.

as a workaround, maybe we should just upload a new branch for each
release, so you can be sure to at least include the last release
whenever someone is about to make a new release. it would also be good
to have a repository that exactly matches each release, anyways.

i'd like to make some small changes to the proposed local swap patches-

otavio and i worked on a patch for debian bug #364707 that should work,
also.

otavio and i have been working on numerous changes- we'd probably be more
talkative, but haven't really had internet access till just now.
