at the moment, cross-architecture support for the packages in debian
requires building the chroot environment on a machine of the appropriate
architecture and then copying the /opt/ltsp/ARCH directory to your NFS
server.

i know olvier gravert has done some work on pre-generating ubuntu
tarballs of and ltsp client environment that should simplify the
process.

but both of these are using ltsp muekow (ltsp 5 pre-releases), not ltsp
4.2.x:

Hello Sir,

I have here a couple of Sun JavaStation JK (Krups) thin clients that uses Sparc 32bit processors and I want to make use of them using LTSP-4.2.4 or later on a Debian Etch AMD64 or Ubuntu Edgy AMD64 terminal server. I just found out that there are LTSP related packages for Sparc from the Debian Etch mirrors but I don't know what versions they are for and how to install it on my AMD64 server. I am familiar in setting up LTSP on i386 server for i386 thin clients only. But since I have a couple of unused Sun JavaStation JK (Krups) thin clients, I am very much interested to bring them back to life and make use of them.

I hope you can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Marvin
