That is correct.  The new LTSP code is written to work fairly well
even if no configuration file is available.  If you want to change the
configuration, you can create the file and store values in it as
before.

The new code is reusing the configuration variable names as much as
possible, so you should in most cases get away with creating the file
and setting the same variables as before.
