it uses lsb_release to determine which distribution to use, and sometimes
lsb_release can't figure out the appropriate release.

i'd recommend removing the old chroot in /opt/ltsp/i386 and re-installing the
chroot, explicitly telling it to build a squeeze chroot:

  ltsp-build-client --dist squeeze
