My guess would be that this is a duplicate of:

  http://bugs.debian.org/667915

To work around it, try as root:

  mkdir -p /etc/ltsp/
  rm -rf /opt/ltsp/i386

and rerun ltsp-build-client.

The thing that triggered 667915 is handled better upstream now, and I'll upload 
a fix to Debian soon.
