Thanks for the patch.

1) It seems more appropriate as a Vcs-Browser field than Homepage.

2) We're not going to change the Maintainer field in Debian. :P

In any case, whatever changes will have to wait until wheezy release; changes
like this do not meet or warrant a freeze exception:
