As of yesterday the patches are compiling with 2.6.18, 2.6.20 and
2.6.22. 2.6.21 still has errors.

Also 2.6.20 boots fine and can mount an existing lustre. It isn't
stress tested yet though.

With 2.6.18 my comaintainer had problems mounting a freshly formated
filesystem. I'm not sure what the problem is but the modules didn't
want to load right. Something strange went on there. You might or
might not see the same. Please report what you find.

We decided that it is cleaner to track the debian changes and upstream
seperate like many project do. The upstream source resides in
/tarballs/ as the orig.tar.gz downloaded directly from lustre (just
renamed). You unpack that somewhere and then copy everything in
/trunk/ into the lustre-1.6.2 directly. Then you can build it as
normal.

A simpler way is to use svn-buildpackage. You have to checkout trunk
and cd to it and then just run svn-buildpackage with the same
arguments you would give to dpkg-buildpackage. Or if you prefer
debuild like me you can use this alias:

svn-debuild='svn-buildpackage -us -uc --svn-ignore --svn-builder=debuild'

Thanks. We live to server. :)
