Bug#419958: /etc/init.d/libdevmapper1.02.1: multiple init scripts
which all load the same modules.

Package: libdevmapper1.02.1
Version: 2:1.02.18-1
Severity: normal
File: /etc/init.d/libdevmapper1.02.1
Atm I have
/etc/init.d/libdevmapper1.02
and
/etc/init.d/ libdevmapper1.02.1
The first one is installed as depedency of e2fsprogs and mount, the
second as depedency of cryptsetup, which I use occasonially to mount
luks encrypted partitions.
Both init scripts try to load the same modules.
Imo the modules should not be loaded by libdevmapperXXX directly, but by
applications using devmapper, as does e.g. cryptsetup which already loads the
necessary modules in the initramfs.
If you don't agree with this proposal at least make sure to only install
a single init script. I already foresee the next abi bump and having
three libdevmapper init scripts on my system, which would be insane.
Cheers,
Michael
