Hello there!

This week I installed Debian etch in a seprate partion of a harddisk.
Until now this box is/was running an old SUSE version (kernel 2.4.21;
lvm 2.00.07 [1]). The installation worked fine, however etch was not
able to detect the existings LV's. I tried to run lvmdiskscan, pvscan,
vgscan and lvscan but neither of them did manage to detect the there is
a working lvm setup.
To make sure that the setup did not get messed during the installation
processes I booted the old SUSE system where lvm is still working very
well. So do you have any suggestion how this problem can be fixed?

Cheers,
Sigmund
