thanks

I also hit this bug very recently. I was able to do snapshots until
mid-february.

Since then, when I start the creation of a snapshot (of my /home, in
this case), the lvcreate process never returns, and it seems impossible
to start any other process. Creating a new window in screen yields an
empty window where nothing happens, opening a signed mail in mutt blocks
at "Invoking GPG...", and so on. The running applications, if they don't
need spawning new processes, otherwise seem to work (to which extent I
don't know, as the whole system is unusable enough that I reboot).

The snapshot was created by the following command:

$ sudo lvcreate -L 1g -n home.bak -s /dev/vg1/home

After reboot, it is visible but not a snapshot:

  --- Logical volume ---
  LV Name                /dev/vg1/home
  VG Name                vg1
