I finally enabled it in Fedora yesterday, hoping we can now support it with
upstream kernels. (Previously it partly relied on kernel patches only in
RHEL.) I needed some patches to 2.02.52, (all checked in for inclusion in
2.02.53). The stuff currently dumped into an initscript just needs to
run to turn on monitoring for any devices needing monitoring but created before
the monitoring daemon was available (e.g. during initrd, mirrored root
filesystem).
