Package: libdevmapper1.02
Version: 2:1.02.08-1
Severity: critical
Justification: causes serious data loss

This invocation has been unlocking my encrypted partition successfully for years:
cryptsetup create backcrypt /dev/sda2

Now it gives me the following error:
device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Invalid argument

and I am unable to access the data on the encrypted partition.

This broke sometime in the past month
