Package: multipath-tools
Version: 0.4.8+git0.761c66f-9
Severity: normal

Hi,

When I'm removing a LUN mapping (association to the machine) using the
SAN manager, it seems that udev is starting several:

/sbin/kpartx -a -p -part /dev/dm-0
/sbin/blkid -o udev -p /dev/dm-0

these process are in D (interruptible sleep) state because the machine
cannot access them anymore.

Steps:

multipath -f lun_name
echo "- - -" >/sys/class/scsi_host/$hba/scan
/etc/init.d/multipath-tools reload

multipath -ll now shows a mpath0 path that cannot be removed (mpath0:
map in use).

I guess this is a bad integration with udev/kpartx/dmsetup

Cheers
