I just upgraded a working Squeeze machine to Wheezy.

Noteworthy configuration might be the explicit LVM filter on the multipath 
device:

    filter = [ "a|/dev/mapper/360060e80108346e004d42aae00000001|", "r|.*|"  ]

So maybe in standard configuration the missing load of the multipath module 
might not result in missing rootfs as the component devices /dev/sdXX are 
present and lvm silently uses one of these and ignores the duplicate pvs of 
the other present paths.
