This is a bug in LVM2 running on a freshly installed Debian 6.0.6 system
that was then immediately upgraded to testing.
root at lettuce:/# lvcreate --type raid5 -i3 -L 10GiB -n test_raid5 lettuce
Using default stripesize 64.00 KiB
Rounding size (160 extents) up to stripe boundary size (162 extents)
Logical volume "test_raid5" created
root at lettuce:/# lvdisplay lettuce/test_raid5
