Bug#704160: kpartx says it will create /dev/loop0p1 but uses other names

It doesn't report so on my box.

rrs at zan:~$ sudo kpartx -l /dev/sda
[sudo] password for rrs:
sda1 : 0 97656250 /dev/sda 2048
sda2 : 0 152411382 /dev/sda 97658298


rrs at zan:~$ sudo kpartx -l /dev/loop0
loop0p1 : 0 4091904 /dev/loop0 2048

Why? That part is anyways taken care by partx. I am not sure how partx
is consumed, but if you run it manually, it will create the proper
mappings for you.

But only for device mapper.

DESCRIPTION
This tool, derived from util-linux' partx, reads partition tables on
specified device and create device maps over par‐
titions segments detected. It is called from hotplug upon device maps
creation and deletion.


If you still see a bug in it, please let me know.
