Hmm, I don't understand how you expect to solve the upgrade issue
without adding a Breaks against the buggy versions.
(live-tools/wheezy actually deserves a 'Breaks: *', but now it's too
late to add this.)

Where do you want to have the diversions removed?

I don't maintain live-tools, nor do I use it. I just try to clean up the
fallout it causes. A time machine to send back a REJECT would have been
helpful :-)
