It's not urgently necessary. LVM uses libblkid only as helper lib to
detect more signatures than original signature detection code in LVM.

Sure, if LVM uses that, it can clear more old signatures it finds with
the help of libblkid during pvcreate/lvcreate, so it's nice feature to
have it in, but on the other hand you also need recent enough
libblkid >= 2.24.
