This does look like it might be a lvm2 bug indeed, which is why I'm
going to reassign this bug now, as I think the lvm2 maintainers have a
better chance helping you debug this.
If this turns out to be a bug in udev, please reassign back.
Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the
universe are pointed away from Earth?
