What is a SAN Manager here? An external tool?<br>

/sbin/blkid -o udev -p /dev/dm-0

these process are in D (interruptible sleep) state because the machine
cannot access them anymore.

Steps:

multipath -f lun_name
echo "- - -" &gt;<i class="moz-txt-slash"><span class="moz-txt-tag">/</span>sys/class/scsi_host<span class="moz-txt-tag">/</span></i>$hba/scan
/etc/init.d/multipath-tools reload

multipath -ll now shows a mpath0 path that cannot be removed (mpath0:
map in use).

I guess this is a bad integration with udev/kpartx/dmsetup
