http://wiki.debian.org/DebianPython/NewPolicy says
"Moving the packages to the new policy will allow automatic byte compilation
on upgrades of the default python version."
I parse that as "they will only be automatic re-byte-compiled when the
default python version changes". Donno if that's right. I can ask in
#debian-python tomorrow. ATM I'm too tired to do things that require my
brain. ;)
