This is going to change with the 1.4.2 package. I need to kick my ass to
continue my work keep the promise to work on it.

Maybe Pelle is willing to change it for the 1.4.1 package and reupload it.
If not I'd suggest you to set your 1.4.0 package on hold for the moment.
Another option would be to recompile the source package with changed
Depends.
Anyway nice to hear that Lyx works with texlive.
