Similar scripts vary to use mktexlsr oder texhash but always with
an absolute path.

I wondered about that and now found a solution after re-reading some
parts of the policy[1] and taking a look at the post* scripts from
tetex-frogg.
The post* scripts are called for several things and you can (or
should) select from the argument if you like to run the script or not.

Well dvipost is not mandatory, I'd like to put dvipost in the recommends
because it's "only" needed for change tracking in the output.
