There's a new stable version of LyX available (1.5.1). This fixes an 
annoying crash with LyX that I could get every so often with
the message "Assertion triggered in lyx::BufferView* 
lyx::LyXFunc::view() const by failing check "lyx_view_" in file 
../../src/LyXFunc.cpp:2143".

You may also need to up the boost dependancies as <1.34 don't appear to 
compile (patch to check against earlier versions is at 
http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4118)

Oh, and any chance of -dbg packages for experimental versions of LyX? 
Because I would have posted a bug report for my crash *ages* ago if 
there was a -dbg package that I could install and get a nice stacktrace 
for LyX.
