Works a lot better. I should really reinstall my main system. We'll see

ATM it seems that I can (once again)solve the slowness problems it with
export LC_ALL=C.

So if you like go ahead and merge and 1.5.1 to trunk and upload to unstable.
I've no problem with it.


My opionion on the 1.4.5.1 thing:
Pro: It's still an opportunity to provide an easy backport for etch
without the need to backport boost aswell. (At least under the rules
for backports.org uploads this would be the case. Switching to the included
boost for unofficial builds is still an option.)

Con: Would take time to upload and migrate to testing to qualify for a
backports.org backport.

So I'm unsure if it's worth the hassle to provide an easy backport of 1.4
for etch users who are more willing to choose the old version with the benefit
of reading 1.5 documents.
I guess I'll create at least i386 packages of 1.4.5.1 for myself so it's
still an option to provide those unofficial packages i386 for other users.


It's very likely that I'm leaving the LyX packaging in the next two month
anyway because of some unfortunate private problems[1]. So the burden is
mostly on your shoulders to decide how you'd like to handle this.
As a bonus hassle I'm offline from 2007/08/17 to 2007/09/11 [2]. :(

[1] I'll have no further needs to work with LyX and I don't think it's usefull
to work on the packaging of a software I don't use.
Well the last words are not yet spoken but it's unlikely that the situation
will improve.
