Hi Per,
do you think we should remove the whole quilt stuff now that we don't
carry any patches at least for the 1.5.3 release?

Oh and I'm unsure if I should close #452889 aswell. It's documented now in
the UPGRADING file but it's not fixed in the sense that the problem itself
is resolved now.
