Yes but that won't help us to get the problem resolved for etch just in
case you rate those problems as release critical.

I'm evaluating a changeset that might fix the problem (thanks to Georg
once again). For one of the reports I got positiv feedback but he thinks
that LyX feels slower now.

If you like to try it out yourself feel free to grab the packages. You've
the choice between unsigned packages and a set signed with my key 0xAAAC7BBC
(the key is not in the Debian keyring!).
