I guess that's an autoconf default behaviour.
So at least here it builds and works but speedwise it's unusable.
I donno why but LyX 1.5rc1 is using a huge amount of cpu time here and is 
awfully slow. For me that's not something I can work with so personally
I'll stick with 1.4.4 for the moment and hope that the final version
will be useable.
