[Pkg-lyx-devel] Bug#534632: Feature: scale big graphics in the editor

Package: lyx
Version: 1.6.2-1
Severity: wishlist
When inserting big graphics into LyX the editor will show them at
original size. The graphics may be set to show at some scaling down
percent, but LyX will show them at the same size.
The problem with this is that it it makes document editing harder by
taking up a lot of screen space and having to scroll too much and loose
overview.
I would like LyX to scale the shown graphics in a smart way (I don't
know which is that) or maybe show them at the scale chosen by the user
in the graphics dialog. Any other method of easing work with these big
graphics is welcome.
